Making things during Quarantine
I work from home. I divide my time between my home studio in Manila and another studio in the South. A lot has changed in the world since the eruption of a pandemic and also an actual volcano near my studio space. But staying home and tending to the process of making has kept me going. I have returned to drawing lately. I also had a chance to look into my studio and make inventory of glazed ceramic works. The ceramic pieces are something like a sketch for me, an experimentation on painting with glazes and layering, firing, and repeating the process.
